Dancing with the Stars has returned for season 11 on Sept. 20 on , and the rest of the cast was announced. The announcement came just a week ago in a media leak explaining that Brandy, Audrina Patridge, David Hasselhoff, “The Situation” and Bristol Palin would all be on the show. NJ.com reports that the rest of the star-studded cast will include: standup comedienne and potential Bristol Palin-The Situation love triangle raider Margaret Cho; former “Brady Bunch” mom Florence Henderson; Vanessa Williams’ husband Rick Fox; semi-balding on-again, off-again Nicollette Sheridan man toy Michael Bolton; and “Baby” from “Dirty Dancing,” Jennifer Grey. Dancing With the Stars will probably be seeing a lot of good dancing from Jennifer Grey. The celeb dancing extravaganza may have basically saved her life.
Jennifer Grey ended up in a car incident
Years ago, Jennifer Grey was in an automobile accident. She thought there was no way she could dance again. Grey talked to Zap2It. She explained that she talked to a neurological spine surgeon since she was having really bad pain in her neck. She really wanted to opportunity of being on DWTS. This is what motivated her to make an appointment with the surgeon she heard had worked on dancer Karina Smirnoff.
Grey had some torn ligaments in her neck as a result of the incident. Apparently nobody had treated her correctly. The condition eventually degenerated, so much that the surgeon told Grey that her spinal cord was compressed. Any blow might cause a minor shift. This shift would then lead to her being permanently paralyzed. Grey decided it was time for surgery. She got her neck fused. The doctor told her that she needed to remove a benign nodule.
A new neck and no-cancer is what Jennifer Grey ended up with
”Dancing with the Stars” will gladly take her. She will do well. Jennifer Grey may have saved her life with this show considering it was the only reason she went via treatment.
“I was so frightened of the surgery, I didn’t want to even consider that it would be successful. And it was so successful, I proceeded to do everything else on my ‘to-do’ list that I was afraid of, including doing this show,” Grey told Zap2It. “I figure that if I don’t do it now, I’ll be too old for it. My body is clearly giving out.”
