I have to say I was not surprised, but I was delighted when I saw that the Googleverse was searching for the DJ Hero trailer.
You see, as a huge fan of Rock Band and other similar music-based games, I have been thinking for a long time that other musical genres should be highlighted in video games. In fact, I wrote about it in an article on this easy payday loan web site several weeks ago.

Well, Wright may not be paying me, but I’ll throw out my ideas for the Stupid Fun Club anyhow. I think the idea behind “Rock Band” could be taken a lot further. I imagine video games that allow players to participate in all different types of musical genres. Some title suggestions: “Rap Star” and “Folk Frenzy.”
If they can make drum and guitar controllers, it can’t be that hard to add a turntable or a banjo.
DJ Hero becomes reality
Add a turntable they did, and now we have DJ Hero. The photo above is a picture of the game controller for DJ Hero. The same features that made Guitar Hero and Rock Bank so popular with so many different audiences are present in DJ hero.
These music-based games are all easy to play, starting out. There are plenty of tutorials, instructions and beginners levels. However, a vast array of features keeps the game challenging as it adds ever-more-difficult songs and settings. Voodoo Extreme explains it well, calling DJ Hero “easy to pick up/challenging to master.”
Untouched by the economy
Though many people are cutting back spending on entertainment, the video game industry is still going strong. While there are certain systems and video games companies that are doing better than others, the industry as a whole is still making money.
Perhaps that is because of the high level of innovation that video games constantly experience. DJ Hero is a great example of this. I honestly believe this video game will make Activision and companies that sell it a ton of money. It will appeal to both longtime fans of Guitar Hero and a whole new audience of wannabe DJs.

Enjoy the trailer, because you won’t be able to buy the game for a while. DJ Hero hits stores in October. It will be available on all major platforms including Wii, Playstation and Xbox. The prices of the game and controller aren’t out yet, but you can sign up on Amazon to be notified when DJ Hero is available.
